The initial appointment is referred to an intake appointment. At this appointment you and I will discuss the things that are leading you to seek counseling. We will talk about struggles, support systems, family background, and other issues that are relevant to you and your life. This helps us to get to know each other better as well as allows me to get a more complete picture of your struggles.
